The Truchtelfingen Beautification Association is holding a Father’s Day party on Ascension Day, Thursday, May 9th, in the garden restaurant near the clubhouse, the Gasthaus zum Schönhaldenfelsen. Starts at 10 a.m.; The menu includes various grilled sausages and French fries. The club members host the event.
Onstmettingen The Onstmettingen local group of the Swabian Alb Association is offering several tours in the Linkenboldshöhle on Thursday, May 9th, Ascension Day, and will also entertain guests in front of the cave entrance. The Linkenboldshöhle is located two and a half kilometers east of Onstmettingen and can be reached on foot from the Neuweiler and Schneckenbuckel car parks.
FC Zillhausen is hosting its annual Father’s Day hockey on Thursday, May 9th. This takes place again in the entrance area and at the “Hüttle” at the sports field. The catering begins at 11:30 a.m. The food menu includes grilled steaks and red sausages with potato salad or fries.
The Weilstetten-Lochen ski club is holding its traditional Father’s Day hocke on Thursday, May 9th. At the Oberstocken ski lift, the hut team will provide meals with grilled specialties and cool drinks from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The music club is holding its Father’s Day celebration on Thursday, May 9th. On the festival grounds at the Heselwanger clubhouse, the youth band will provide musical entertainment not only to the fathers, but also to all hikers and other guests from eleven o’clock. A lunch table and a cake buffet should contribute to the well-being of the guests. In the afternoon, the Frommern Music Association will provide musical entertainment.
The Roßwangen music club is holding a Father’s Day squat in the marquee in front of the old schoolhouse in Roßwangen. It starts at 11 a.m.
In the Hohenzoller State Museum, the special exhibition has been extended until Mother’s Day – the special brass exhibition “Shimmering Beauties – Brass Objects from Art Nouveau and Art Deco” can be seen until Sunday, May 12th. Fathers get free entry on Father’s Day/Ascension Day (May 9th, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and moms get free entry on Mother’s Day (May 12th, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.).
The Hechingen Ski Club’s ski hut will host guests on Father’s Day, May 9th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hut team offers grilled food, coffee and homemade cakes. If you are not good on foot you can still visit the hut: it is possible to drive to the ski hut by car via the Maria Zell cemetery car park, above Boll. Tip from the association for hikers: On Sundays and public holidays from May to October you can find a connection to Hechingen with the “Nauf Nab Traufbus” (timetable see Naldo flyer line 344) to or from Raichberg.
The traditional Lochenfest will take place again on Father’s Day, Thursday, May 9th, in the Lochengründle. The helpers from the Hausen Music Association will be waiting at the foot of the Lochenstein from 10 a.m. with sausages and drinks for the hungry and thirsty fathers and families. There is also something on offer for vegetarians. In the afternoon from 1:30 p.m., the active members of the music club entertain the hikers with brass music. Even those who just want to take a short walk are invited to coffee and cake.
The Ratshausen Music Association invites you to a Father’s Day squat on the village square for Ascension Day on Thursday, May 9th, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. If the weather is bad, people will go to the fire station. There is catering.
The Harzkumpen fools’ guild invites you to the wine fountain festival for Ascension Day on Thursday, May 9th, on the Heiligenzimmern village square. The morning pint starts at 10 a.m. Wine, sparkling wine, liqueur, schnapps and more are served. Lunch is offered as well as coffee and cake in the gym.
