Aman: In the ongoing Asian Boxing Championship series, Indian athlete Lovelina has won gold in the 75 kg weight category. The player from Uzbekistan has defeated Rousmeito with a score of 5:0. This is his first medal at the Asian level. The series is taking place in Jordan.

This is the first medal won in the 75 kg weight category which is preparing for the upcoming Paris Olympics series. Earlier he was playing in the 69 kg category. Lovelina has been playing in this weight category since it was dropped from the Paris Olympics.

It is noteworthy that he has won bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics, World Championship and Asian Championship before this. Earlier, he had taken to Twitter to say that he had suffered severe depression due to the expulsion of coaches during the Commonwealth Games last July.

In the same series, Praveen Hooda won gold in the 63 kg category and Savity in the 81 kg category. Earlier in 2017, boxer Pinky Rani had won only one gold medal for India.
