jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Indonesian U-23 national team won over Jordan with a landslide score of 4-1 in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup match at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar, Sunday (21/4) evening.
Garuda Muda’s first goal was scored by Marselino Ferdinan in the 23rd minute via a penalty kick.
The second goal was by Witan Sulaiman in the 40th minute which completed a beautiful tiki taka between Marcelino, Rizki Ridho and Witan as executor.
In the 70th minute, Marcelino added to the winning score through a one-two game with Witan.
Indonesian U-23 National Team player Justin Hubner’s own goal which deflected the opponent’s kick reduced the goal difference.
However, the Indonesian U-23 National Team increased their lead with the fourth goal from Komang Teguh’s header.

Marselino Ferdinan admitted that he was happy because he was part of the Indonesian U-23 National Team which made new history, namely qualifying for the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar for the first time.
“I’m happy. We made new history for us. And this is the first time for us at U-23. It’s also very good for Indonesian football to do well in the future. I hope we can make new history,” said the Jakarta-born player , quoted from PSSI’s official statement, Monday.
