Thiruvananthapuram: A grocery store owner was beaten up for asking for money for a product he bought. The incident took place at 4 pm on Monday in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram. Aneesh, a native of Melvattur, assaulted Satheesan, who runs a grocery shop in Melvattur, Varkala. Police said Aneesh was absconding.
Aneesh had bought 10 eggs and a packet of chapatis from the shop. When Satheesan asked for the money, he said, “You don’t want the money,” and beat him up. Aneesh was abducted by a nearby autorickshaw driver who witnessed the incident. He is undergoing treatment at Satheesan Taluk Hospital.
