National Assembly of Ecuador Invests in Public Image Improvement
August 9, 2024
The National Assembly of Ecuador has taken action to address the institutional crisis caused by recent events by signing a contract with Álvaro Marchante, manager of the Comunicaliza Company, for USD 54,000. This contract, effective for 300 days, aims to conduct a study on citizen perception and identify strategies to improve communication and interaction between the Assembly and the public.
The primary objective of this study is to assess public perception of the Assembly and its legislative and oversight functions. This will be achieved through a quantitative opinion poll targeting individuals over 16 years of age in all provinces, aiming for a sample size of 2,500 to 3,000 valid responses.
The document outlining this initiative emphasizes the importance of institutional image as the first impression received by the public and its influence on overall perception. While direct control over public opinion is not possible, the study aims to gain a deeper understanding of public perception and develop appropriate strategies to enhance it.
Expected outcomes of the study include:
Improved public perception of the National Assembly
Increased citizen confidence in democratic institutions
Enhanced legitimacy and credibility of the legislative body
Increased citizen participation in democratic processes
* Positive impact on the political and social stability of the country
