jpnn.comSEMARANG – Candidate for Deputy Governor of Central Java (Jateng) Hendrar Prihadi asked for President Joko Widodo’s blessing before registering with the KPU last week.
He did this after receiving an assignment from the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the PDI Perjuangan Megawati Soekarnoputri to accompany Andika Perkasa in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada.
“Yes. As a Javanese person, I have definitely asked permission from the leaders of political parties, asked permission from the leaders in the executive branch that I have been assigned to run in the Central Java Pilkada,” said the man who is familiarly called Hendi, Wednesday (4/9).
According to him, the father of Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka has given the green light to himself and the former TNI Commander in the election for governor and deputy governor or Pilgub Central Java.
“And thank God, they gave us a good signal to continue competing and contesting,” he said.
After receiving the blessing of the number one person in Indonesia, the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Central Java, Andika-Hendi, continued to coordinate, carry out activities together, and formulate the right strategy.
“Because two months is not a long time for us to socialize the Andika-Hendi pair to the community,” he said.
He said the closest step that will be taken now is to strengthen the nodes throughout Central Java. From there, his party will convey that they have a cool program.
Hendi admitted that he had received Jokowi’s blessing to accompany Andika Perkasa in the 2024 Central Java gubernatorial election.
