The study, published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, suggests an unusual method for keeping astronauts fit in the low gravity of the Moon. According to the authors, using an analogue of the circus attraction “Wall of Death” may be the key to this problem.

This was reported by The Guradian.

This method involves creating a vertical ring with a rotating surface on which astronauts can run and exercise to compensate for the lack of Earth’s gravity. To prevent future lunar explorers from losing their physical fitness and muscle mass, they are encouraged to jog.

However, scientists have come up with an unusual approach to these trainings: they are offered to run not on an ordinary horizontal treadmill, but in a special cylinder that simulates the conditions of the Moon and resembles the shape of the Wall of Death attraction. This design will allow astronauts to jog in conditions as close as possible to lunar gravity, which will help them maintain muscle and bone mass in good shape.

This approach could be an important step in preparation for future missions to the Moon and other space exploration, keeping astronauts healthy and efficient in the low gravity of space. Scientists believe that wall running on the Moon in low gravity will be easy and healthy for astronauts. This requires a speed of about 13 km/h, twice the walking speed.

Scientists conducted an experiment in a specially equipped room with lunar gravity conditions, where they successfully ran along the wall, held by special cables. This proves that wall running can help keep astronauts’ bones and muscles strong and healthy if they do it for a few minutes in the morning and evening.

Earlier, “Cursor” wrote that the head of NASA, Bill Nelson, expressed concern about China’s alleged military presence in space and announced its intention to capture the Moon, calling it a camouflage.
