Astrophysicists warn of magnetic storms for New Year

The Laboratory of Solar X-ray Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that magnetic storms are expected on Earth on December 31 and January 1.

Geomagnetic storms, according to astrophysicists, will be weak, that is, they will correspond to category G1.

Magnetic storms are also expected on December 18, 19 and 22.
