“Women’s Rights and the Challenges of Technologies: The next 50 years of Democracy” was the motto of the conversation that brought together leaders from various entities. Sandra Cavaca, president of the SPMS Board of Directors, was one of the guests of this conversation moderated by Mário Campolargo, Secretary of State for Digitalization and Administrative Modernization, which took place in Lisbon, this Friday morning, International Women’s Day.

The leader spoke about female representation at SPMS, which is 57% of the workforce, that is, 206 women, more than 81% with higher education qualifications. “At SPMS, we have more women than men, who work in different areas, take on management positions and dedicate themselves, with talent and commitment, to improving the provision of healthcare in Portugal”, he highlighted, highlighting the team that developed the SNS 24 app, led by a woman.

Sandra Cavaca, the woman who has been on the Board of Directors for the longest time in the history of SPMS, would like “more women to come and work in the technological area, in which our perspective, our pragmatism and our sensitivity are also fundamental”.
