Kozhikode: A two and a half year old boy died in Kozhikode due to food poisoning. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Yamin, son of Akbar, of Viryambram Changalamkandi. The chicken roll brought home for the wedding was eaten. It is believed that the food was infected. More than a dozen people from here are being treated for food poisoning.
Relatives say the boy ate the chicken roll from a wedding ceremony he attended on Thursday. He was admitted to a private hospital in Koduvalli after feeling unwell. He was then transferred to Kozhikode Medical College. The death occurred at Kozhikode Medical College.
About 10 people who ate at the same wedding are being treated at the hospital. But the health condition of none of them is serious.
