A dramatic event has shaken the Russian capital, at least 40 people were cowardly killed following an explosion and shooting in a well-known concert hall in Moscow, as reported by the Washington Post.

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by ISIS through its media channel. A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity to safeguard sensitive information, stressed that the United States “sees no reason to doubt” the veracity of this claim.

The dramatic assault began with shots fired by unidentified individuals shortly before the start of the concert, followed by an explosion that caused a fire inside the venue. Those inside were trapped as several security forces, including SOBR, OMON, FSB and the Russian Guard, responded to the scene.

According to a preliminary FSB estimate, the attack killed 40 people and injured more than 100. President Putin was immediately informed of developments related to the shooting at Crocus City Hall.

The White House said it had no indications of preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow and found no evidence of involvement of Ukraine or Ukrainian citizens. Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to Ukrainian President Zelensky, quickly declared that Kiev had no connection to the incident.

The international community, including leaders of Belarus, Turkey, Venezuela, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Italy and Germany, expressed their condolences over the tragedy.

Although it is not immediately clear whether the attack is directly related to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which has lasted for three years, recent warnings from foreign embassies in Moscow had raised concerns about the risk of terrorist attacks, urging people to avoid public gatherings.

While Ukraine denies any responsibility, stating through presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak that “Ukraine has nothing to do with these events,” Ukrainian military intelligence attributes the action to Russian intelligence, suggesting it could be used to strengthen support for the military conflict.

Konstantin Malofeev, an influential Russian oligarch, even called for a nuclear strike, proposing to give the Ukrainian civilian population 48 hours to evacuate the cities in order to end the conflict with a “victorious defeat of the enemy,” using any available means.

Intelligence information indicates that ISIS K, a branch of ISIS active in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran, is also operating in Russia, as reported by two American officials to the Washington Post.

Anomalous and already seen events

The American embassy in Moscow stated on March 7 that “is monitoring reports that extremists are planning to attack large gatherings” in the Russian capital, including concerts, and urged US citizens to avoid them.

The warning was based in part on intelligence about possible ISIS activity in Russia, according to U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.

It is plausible that the US at least knew

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic: On March 7, the US Embassy urged its citizens not to visit the mall [dove è avvenuto l’attentato]. Then the English and someone else did the same.”

According to White House spokesman Kirby it is just a coincidence who warned American citizens in Moscow to avoid concerts in March.

That ISIS, an Islamic Salafist group, is operating in Russia while a genocide is underway in Gaza, would be considered a fairy tale if similar news did not arrive. It seems that ISIS operates only and exclusively against Russia and Iran. However, this news with its load of anomalies is fed as if everything were normal. I remember that about a month ago the Anglo-Saxons had even announced the transition to hybrid warfare within Russia. It should be noted that attacks can be carried out directly, but this has never happened. However, they can be done by supporting certain groups and perhaps facilitating them. The aim is always fear, destabilization, and Islamophobia in a multi-ethnic country where the various components coexist peacefully, as well as obviously exacerbating the ongoing conflict with the West. Meanwhile the newspapers bombard us ‘to prepare ourselves’. Here we are…

My condolences to the victims, their families and the wounded in Moscow

UPDATE:

American television broadcasts the news (which some sources say is false) that ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, accompanied by a caption that Ukraine does not admit its participation in the attack.

The text of the Telegram message I posted says:

Recall that Ukraine also did not recognize its participation in:
????The murders of Daria Dugina, Vladlen Tatarsky and other Russian citizens
????Blowing up the Crimean bridge with a car full of explosives
????Killing of civilians in Odessa, Mariupol, Donetsk and Lugansk since 2014
????Terror against Crimea and the Russian population of the Kherson region since 2014

So we do not believe the statements of Ukraine and its sponsors.

At this moment the toll has risen to 60 dead and 145 injured. Even removing the ISIS factor and adding another acronym (because an acronym will emerge), my evaluation does not change.
