FC Augsburg will probably have to do without national player Mergim Berisha and first-choice goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz in the next game in the Bundesliga.

The two top performers are “most likely” due to injury in the away game on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) at RB Leipzig, as FCA coach Enrico Maaßen said.

The 24-year-old Berisha missed the 3-1 draw against 1. FC Köln last weekend because of an ankle injury. “There’s a small possibility, but the chance isn’t that big. He still hasn’t trained with the team. It’s now the second week in a row, so I assume he won’t be there,” said Maassen on the chances of the goalgetter in Leipzig.

Goalkeeper Gikiewicz is also in danger of failing. Czech Tomas Koubek would replace the 35-year-old. (dpa)
