Warner scored 95 off 167 balls in the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. Warner was out for 94 in the first Test at Gabba.
Warner returned his gloves as a gift to a child fan who was in the gallery on his return, although the star returned disappointed after missing the century. The fan could not help but rejoice when he received the gift from Warner quite unexpectedly. The video shows the baby fan returning to his seat, holding Warner’s glove to his chest without giving it to the other children who were with him. There were many other children in the gallery with this child, and although they had not received any presents, they were all celebrating Warner’s gift.

The century lost in the first Test came when Warner looked set to score in the second Test when he was hit by an inadvertent shot off Ben Stokes. The Australians, who lost opener Marcus Harris to a fourth-wicket stand, were joined by Marnus Labushein for the second wicket but could not celebrate the century. Labushein and Warner put on 172 for the second wicket. It was their partnership that gave Australia the best score on the first day of the Test against England. The pair split at the crease in the eighth over of the Australian innings in the 65th over.
