The desire of households to switch to different suppliers reached record levels. More private gas customers switched suppliers in the second quarter than ever before, totaling 31,514. In Vienna, customers can currently save up to 1,486 euros per year by switching gas suppliers and almost 390 euros for electricity. The starting point for E-Control’s calculations is average Austrian households with an annual electricity consumption of 3,500 kWh or gas consumption of 15,000 kWh.
