34th Annual Autism Conference to Feature Nationally Renowned Speaker, Expanded Sessions
A complete event designed to foster community and provide valuable resources, the 34th annual Autism Conference will be held on Thursday, April 30, at the Sheraton Monarch Place Hotel in Springfield, Massachusetts. Autism Connections,a program of ServiceNet and Pathlight,is hosting the conference as a vital support system for individuals and families across Berkshire,Franklin,Hampshire,and Hampden counties. The event aims to create a welcoming and inclusive habitat for a broad range of attendees, including parents, caregivers, individuals with autism, family members, educators, and professionals in related fields.

This year’s conference will spotlight Dr.Daniel Wendler, a nationally recognized clinical psychologist, bestselling author, and autistic self-advocate. Wendler is known for his impactful presentations on neurodiversity, inclusion, and the importance of human connection. his keynote address promises to offer powerful insights into understanding and supporting individuals on the autism spectrum.
Attendees will benefit from an expanded program featuring three groups of breakout sessions, totaling 18 in-depth topics – an increase from previous years. These smaller, focused sessions will allow participants to delve deeper into specific areas of interest and gain practical knowledge.
The conference will also include an exhibitor showcase with an interactive “passport” activity, offering attendees the chance to collect stamps and enter a prize drawing. This provides a unique chance to connect with organizations offering valuable services and support.
Professionals attending the conference can earn valuable continuing education units, applied behaviour analysis credits, and 10 professional development points, enhancing their skills and knowledge in the field.
The conference is a product of a recent organizational strengthening. In February 2025, Pathlight, a long-standing provider of services for individuals with disabilities with over 70 years of experience, merged with ServiceNet to create a more robust and dynamic organization serving Western Massachusetts.
