«Avtotor» launched the production of commercial light- and medium-duty electric vehicles under the Brock brand, reports company press service.

On September 8, production of two models began at the production site in the village of Pereslavskoye in the Kaliningrad region in cooperation with the Chinese manufacturer Foton. Avtotor invested 130 million rubles. into a new line for the production of these cars.

The company will produce the Brock 75 with a maximum engine power of 115 kW. The vehicle weighs 7.5 tons. The Brock 75 has a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 81 kW/h. A fully charged car can travel 300 km at a constant speed.

The second car – Brock 160 – has a maximum engine power of 160 kW. Its total weight reaches 16 tons, and the battery capacity is 246 kW/h. The car can also cover 300 km when fully charged.

“Commercial vehicles are prepared to be equipped with a wide range of universal and special superstructures, including flatbeds, vans for various purposes, refrigerators, hydraulic lifts, garbage trucks, tow trucks, etc.,” the company said in a statement.

After the departure of partners Kia and BMW, Avtotor began assembling Chinese cars at the beginning of 2023. The first to hit the assembly line in Kaliningrad at the end of January was the Kaiyi E5 mid-size sedan. Later, production of the BAIC X35 crossover and the U5+ sedan began, as well as crossovers of the SWM brand and a line of commercial vehicles.
