San Salvador. A young entrepreneur has launched the first Digital Hospital in the region, an innovative technological tool that consolidates various medical services in a mobile application.
In countries like El Salvador, telemedicine represents an opportunity to reduce inequity in access to health. Thus, the apps offer the possibility of bringing health to remote areas, with difficult access or lack of specialists.
A very significant percentage of the Salvadoran population does not have coverage for medical services, both emergency and preventive; Alejandro Siman launched the AZAM application, a startup that aims to digitize access to the health system for this segment.
The app seeks to benefit both patients and doctors by improving patient care, user experience and optimizing health services, from video medicine, scheduling face-to-face medical appointments in more than 30 specialties, purchase of medications, to scheduling exams clinical laboratory accessible to all salvadorans from any mobile device.
Azam is an initiative of its own that already has the support of important strategic allies in the medical sector. The app can be downloaded both on iOS and on the Play Store or on the website: www.azam.app.
As an additional benefit for a subscription of US$2.99 per month, the user accesses telephone medical guidance, unlimited virtual medical consultations and 24/7, an ambulance service, three consultations with general practitioners, three consultations with specialist doctors, unlimited consultations with specialists in nutrition and psychology, two laboratory tests, references, and unlimited discounts in consultations, laboratories, and pharmacies.
Among the expansion plans of this innovative digital tool is taking the service to the Latin American region through a strategic growth plan.
