Azerbaijan and Russia discussed the prospects for placing orders at the Baku Shipyard for the construction of ships for the Russian Federation.

This was announced to journalists by the Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev and the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov, Day.Az reports on Tuesday.

“Last year, an agreement on cooperation in the field of shipbuilding was signed between the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan. There are shipbuilding enterprises in Baku and St. Petersburg, whose representatives are in constant interaction. Now we are in the preparation of projects, but have not yet come to the specifics. We We want to attract the capacity of the Baku Shipyard within the framework of industrial cooperation, this is a prospect,” Ruslan Mirsayapov explained to Trend following the results of the business forum “St. Petersburg and Azerbaijan are expanding the horizons of cooperation.”

Abdullayev and Mirsayapov also reported great prospects for the development of Russian pharmaceutical enterprises in Azerbaijan, as well as the growth of trade in fruit and vegetable products from Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg.

It should be noted that 25 companies from St. Petersburg and about 50 companies from Azerbaijan took part in the business forum in Baku.
