Azerbaijan plays a strategic role as an important partner of Slovakia.
This was stated at a business forum in Baku by Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak government, Minister of Economy Denisa Sakova, Day.Az reports on Tuesday with reference to Trend.
According to her, cooperation between the two countries is growing every year, and this will be facilitated by the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation signed in April this year.
Sakova mentioned that the existence of such an agreement, as well as a legal framework of 11 documents, will allow us to deepen mutual economic cooperation.
“Representatives of 37 companies and structures of Slovakia arrived in Baku. I believe in their productive negotiations during this visit,” the minister emphasized.

He also added that this business forum is a productive platform for establishing close ties between companies and businessmen of the two countries.
