The Azerbaijani team in group exercises took third place in the all-around at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup in Baku, Day.Az reported on Saturday with reference to Trend.
The team’s all-around result was 71.550 points (sum for two exercises – with five hoops, as well as with three ribbons and two balls).
The Israeli team took first place in the all-around with a score of 73.550 points. The Italian team was in second position with a score of 71,700 points.
It should be noted that the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup takes place on May 3-5 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Representatives from 37 countries take part in the competition. Gymnasts perform in two age categories – “seniors” (individual program and group exercises) and “juniors” (individual program).
At the European Cup in the “senior” age category, Azerbaijan is represented by Zohra Agamirova and Kamilla Seidzade in the individual program, as well as a team in group exercises, which included Gullyu Agalarzade, Kamilla Aliyeva, Elizaveta Luzan, Daria Sorokina, Lyaman Alimuradova and Zeinab Gummetova; Among the “juniors” are Fidan Gurbanly, Ilakha Bakhadirova, Govhar Ibragimova and Shams Agaguseinova, performing in the individual program.
