Mohammad Naeem Sheikh and Nazmul Hossain Shanto hit the field after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. Centuries by two left-handed batsmen set off the traditional Abahani Limited run fountain against Prime Bank Cricket Club.

A stormy fifty comes from Tawheed’s bat at the other end. The duo added 123 runs for the third wicket partnership.

The pair broke when Shanta was bowled out for 118 runs in 48.3 overs. Shanto scored this run with 13 fours and 4 sixes in just 85 balls. This is Shant’s 11th century in List ‘A’ cricket. First in the current season. The century will act as a tonic for the off-form Shantae against Sri Lanka.

After Shantar’s dismissal, Afif Hossain returned with no runs. Tawheed finished the innings with the new batsman Zaker Ali Anik. He was unbeaten on 65 off just 35 balls.

Two pacers Hasan Mahmud-Rezaur Rahman Raja scored runs for Prime Bank. Both gave 76 runs in equal 10 overs. Hasan got 2 wickets but Raja got 1 wicket.
