Kochi: Another witness has filed a complaint in the high court against Baiju Paulus, the investigating officer in the case of attacking the actress. Witness Sagar Vincent said that Baiju Paul threatened to give a false statement. There are fears that Baiju Paul may be harassed in the name of further investigation. Baiju filed a petition seeking stay of further action on the notice issued by Paul for questioning.
Meanwhile, Justice K Haripal withdrew from considering Dileep’s plea to quash the conspiracy case. Another bench will consider the case next week. Justice K Haripal withdrew from hearing the case citing the need to hear detailed arguments in the petition.
Justice Haripal withdrew from the case after retiring in the first week of May. Earlier in the day, the court had rejected Dileep’s plea to stay the probe. The case was adjourned to May 28 for a detailed hearing.
The crime branch raided the flat and office of Saishankar, who is suspected of destroying information on Dileep’s mobile. One iPad and two mobile phones were seized.
