Maryland State Police Investigate Death on I-695 in Baltimore County

Initial Response and Discovery
Shortly before 9:45 a.m. on July 27, a Maryland State Trooper assigned to the Golden Ring Barrack initiated a welfare check on a black Jeep Wrangler parked on the right shoulder of the outer loop of I-695, west of Perring Parkway. Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper discovered a woman lying unresponsive in the rear area. Emergency medical services were immediately called to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
Comprehensive Investigation Underway
The incident has triggered a multi-faceted investigation involving several specialized units within the Maryland State Police. Troopers from the Golden Ring Barrack were joined by the Maryland State Police Crash Team and investigators from the Criminal Enforcement Division. Crime scene technicians from the Forensic Sciences Division meticulously processed the vehicle and surrounding area for evidence. Officers from the Baltimore County Police Department also provided assistance at the scene.
