The Banco do Brasil and C6 Bank applications showed instability this Friday (5), with customers of both banks reporting problems with the Pix system.

The complaints are similar. Banco do Brasil users claim that instant transfers made on the platform are not being processed, others say that the application is offline.

In C6, Pix did not reach the recipient, even though the amount had been debited from the originating account. Customers also said that salary payments, scheduled to fall on this fifth working day of the month, did not appear in the balance, and that the Pix area had been removed from the application’s home screen.

The C6 system was normalized in the early afternoon. At Banco do Brasil, problems still persist.

Pix is regulated by the Central Bank. The monetary authority states that the system is functioning normally and that it “does not comment on individual institutions”.

According to DownDetector, an online services monitoring tool, the problems with both banks started in the morning. Banco do Brasil began to become unstable around 11 am, with the peak of complaints occurring at 12:30 pm. In C6, complaints started at 8:50 am, and the peak was reached at 10:30 am.

“Pix in processing. I need to send the amount urgently. Anyone else experiencing problems with
@BancodoBrasil?”, wrote an X user, ex-Twitter, while another reports that the instability is recurrent.

“Where’s my money, @C6Bank?! Pix made at 10:07 am and not received yet [11h13]! 5th business day, everyone’s bills are due today and where’s the money to pay off their commitments?”, wrote a digital bank customer on X.

On the social network, customers also report that service channels are unavailable.

C6 Bank’s official profile on X has responded to users with a standard message: “We are already working on making the services available. Please try checking back later.”

When contacted by Folha, C6 said that some functions of the application were unstable this morning, but that the situation has now returned to normal for most customers.

“Only sending Pix is currently intermittent – and for a small portion of users. The bank’s teams are working to resolve the instability as quickly as possible. All other products and services in the app work normally”, states the official note.

Banco do Brasil said it had identified instabilities in the app and Pix login in the early afternoon and “is working to fully restore functionality”.
