Rumana Ali, Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education, said that the seeds of Bangabandhu’s ideals should be sown in the minds of every child so that children can devote themselves to the establishment of Bangabandhu’s eternally cherished dream of ‘Golden Bangla’.
On the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the state minister said this in his speech as the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized on Sunday (March 17) after placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the Directorate of Primary Education.
He said, Bangabandhu is the undisputed leader of independent Bangladesh, he is the one who awakened the desire of liberation to the oppressed Bengalis, gave the gift of an independent homeland, national anthem and national flag. Now quality primary education must be ensured to move the country forward. Because primary education lays the foundation for creating competent citizens.
Under the chairmanship of Shah Rezwan Hayat, Director General of the Department of Primary Education, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Dilip Kumar Vanik, Director General of the Bureau of Non-formal Education spoke at the meeting.
