Bangladeshi films have been invited for film nominations in the Foreign Language (Best International Feature Film) category at the 97th Oscars.
Aspirants have to fulfill several conditions to participate in the selection process. According to a notification sent by the Oscar Bangladesh Committee, movies released between November 1, 2023 and before September 30 of this year must be eligible. This movie will be shown continuously for seven days in the theaters of Bangladesh. Any full-length movie with English subtitles can participate in the selection process.
Film producers interested in participating in this selection process should collect the movie submission form and detailed rules from Ashirbad Films (7/9 Eastern Commercial Complex, 73 Kakaril) and submit it by 21 September, 5 PM.
Like every year, film personalities Dr. Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies for nomination of Bangladesh movies in Oscar’s Best International Feature Film (Foreign Language Competition) category. A committee of 7 members has been formed with Matin Rahman as the chairman.
The 97th Academy Awards will be held on March 2, 2025, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This award will be given to 24 branches at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA. Best International Feature Film Award is one of them.
