A subsequent search of the area revealed the weapon he had displayed to neighbors was, in fact, a replica, though the fear it instilled in the community was very real. Police were called to the area around 4:00 a.m. After reports of a man suffering from serious injuries. According to authorities, the stabbing stemmed from a dispute involving the suspect’s daughter and her boyfriend.
Initial investigations suggest the victim allegedly pushed his girlfriend from a moving vehicle in a central area of Bariloche. When the victim’s father learned of the incident, he reportedly sought out the boyfriend and attacked him with a knife. The injured man was transported to a local hospital by neighbors and required surgical intervention due to the severity of his wounds. The case has been classified as attempted homicide.
Police quickly identified and apprehended the alleged assailant. The investigation is ongoing, and the case has been referred to the public prosecutor’s office for further proceedings. The suspect’s prior criminal record is also being examined as part of the investigation.
