BASC is inviting nominations for its prestigious annual honours and awards, celebrating dedication, innovation and service within the shooting community.The awards will be presented at The Game Fair 2026. The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) established these awards to publicly acknowledge the often-unsung heroes within the shooting and conservation landscape. Nominations are open to the public, allowing anyone to recognize the achievements of individuals who have made a significant impact.

The awards encompass a wide range of achievements, from long-term commitment to BASC’s goals to significant national contributions to shooting and conservation. Specifically, the awards aim to highlight individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a dedication to preserving shooting sports for future generations. - Honorary Vice President: Recognising individuals of remarkable integrity and long-term commitment to BASC’s goals.

- The Prince Philip Distinguished Service Award: For significant national contributions to shooting and conservation.
- The Payne-Gallwey Long Service Award: Acknowledging more than 20 years of local service as a club officer or event volunteer.
- The Stanley Duncan Conservation Trophy: Honouring notable contributions to BASC’s conservation efforts within the past three years.
- The Ian Richardson Trophy: Awarded by BASC staff for a special contribution to the association.

The nomination process is straightforward, requiring a completed nomination form and supporting documentation outlining the nominee’s achievements. All nominations must be submitted by February 27, 2026. A panel of judges, comprised of BASC representatives and industry experts, will review all submissions and select the winners. The awards ceremony, a highlight of The Game fair 2026, will publicly recognize the recipients and their contributions.
