A key feature of the exhibition is the opportunity for visitors to participate in selecting the “Best Shot of the Year.†Attendees will be able to cast their votes for the photograph that best encapsulates the spirit of the 2025 season. Adding to the experience, the ten previous winners of the “Best Shot of the Year†award will also be on display, offering a fascinating look back at the evolution of the sport and the art of capturing it.
Exploring the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum
The exhibition will be held within the Special Exhibition Room of the Baseball Hall of Fame and museum (1-3-61 Koraku, Bunkyo-ku, tokyo, located to the right of Tokyo Dome Gate 21). Opened in 1959, the museum boasts a collection of approximately 40,000 items, with over 2,000 on display at any given time. These artifacts, ranging from uniforms and bats to gloves and balls, chronicle the rich history of Japanese baseball. The museum also features the Baseball Hall of Fame itself, honoring legendary players, managers, and figures with commemorative reliefs.
Exhibition Details and Accessibility
The Baseball Press photo Exhibition 2025 will run from december 13, 2025, through February 1, 2026. Opening hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, extending to 6:00 PM on days when professional baseball games are held at Tokyo Dome. Admission is permitted up to 30 minutes before closing. Special opening hours apply on January 6th and January 9th, 2026, with the exhibition opening at 1:00 PM on both days.
The museum will be closed on Mondays, except on public holidays, Tokyo Dome baseball days, and during spring and summer vacations.It will also be closed during the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29th to January 1st) and temporarily closed on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Admission fees are 800 yen for adults (65 and older: 500 yen), 500 yen for high school and university students, and 200 yen for elementary and junior high school students. Reduced rates are available for individuals with disabilities (adults: 500 yen, elementary and junior high school students: 150 yen). Re-entry is not permitted.
