On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Bangladesh Academy for Securities Markets (BASM) has given special training to women entrepreneurs and investors to increase their knowledge and awareness about the capital market.
The press release of the organization informed that this training was organized at BASM’s own office on March 5 and 6. BASM Director General Dr. inaugurated the training program. Taufiq Ahmad Chowdhury.
The women entrepreneurs and investors attending the two-day training program were taught various capital market related topics such as: how to open and manage BO accounts, how to analyze company financial reports, etc. The role of mass media and the role of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to involve women investors in the capital market are discussed.
In the closing ceremony of the training program, Commissioner of BSEC Dr. Sheikh Shamsuddin Ahmed discussed the positive role of women investors in the capital market. The training program ends with the distribution of certificates.
