BangaloreBangalore: Rs 1 crore robbers nabbed in Bangalore
Joseph is from Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu. A gold trader, he has a large following in Karnataka. Five people, including Franklin, who works for Joseph, went to Hubli, Karnataka last March to collect money from them. They were returning home in a car after collecting Rs 1 crore from customers. When they arrived at Madanayakanahalli in the suburbs of Bangalore in the early hours of March 11, mysterious persons in another car overtook them.
They attacked Franklin and his accomplices with weapons and confiscated Rs 1 crore in cash, their cell phones and their car. Bangalore Rural Police have registered a case and are investigating the robbery. While inspecting the CCTV cameras, the car snatched from Franklin was found 50 km away. It was revealed that the robbers had fled in their car left in the distance. Their car has entered the Tamil Nadu border through the Samarajnagar district of Karnataka. But the number of the car changed at the Tamil Nadu border and the Kerala registration number plate was affixed to the car.
Following this, the police investigated the details of the postage when the car passed the customs. It has been confirmed that the robbers escaped in a rental car from Madanayakanahalli in Karnataka to Ernakulam in Kerala. Police arrested and questioned the owner of the car through the postage details. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture. Police found the robbers on the information he provided.
In this regard, the rural area of Bangalore S.P. Vamsi Krishna told reporters:
We have arrested 10 people by tracing the case through the posttack. We have seized Rs 9.7 lakh and 2 cars from them. These hawala money smugglers from Kerala have been targeting big business and looting money. Sreedharan, the leader of the robbery gang, is in hiding. We are actively looking for him. There are more than 16 cases against Sreedharan in states including Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
He was arrested by the Karnataka police in 2009. He was not caught by the police after that. Only Rs 9.7 lakh has been recovered from the captured robbers. The rest of the money is with Sreedharan.
