“Baywatch”-Nicole Eggert reveals that she regrets the breast surgery

by time news

The American actress Nicole Eggert (52), best known as Summer Quinn in “Baywatch”, shared earlier this month that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

– Get it out of me

Now Eggert reveals opposite People that she regrets the breast surgery she had when she was only 18. She herself thought she had captured her dream role in “Baywatch” – but it turned out to have a flip side.

The 52-year-old felt that the TV series exploited her body and appearance, and that at the time she was already very fragile emotionally.

Before she got the role, however, she thought she had auditioned for something completely different, namely for a spin-off series about children at a high school in Malibu.

Admits: Regrets surgery

She was not mentally prepared to film in a bathing suit all day.

– All the girls trained and were super thin and fit, and I was like: “Whoops”. And the bathing suits were not flattering. I didn’t want to wear it at all.

For Eggert, the “Baywatch” experience was not as expected, and says that it was not where she wanted to be. But before she chose to leave the program after two seasons, she managed to go under the knife while on break from filming.

– Of course I regret it now. I look at all these younger girls doing it and think, “God, leave their bodies alone!”. But when you have to put on your bathing suit and everything is so flat, you think: “What is this?” There is nothing you can do. You cannot fill it with anything. You can’t do anything.

A few years later, when Eggert grew older, she began to reflect on what was the motivation behind the operation, and what impact it had on her body image.

About the disease: – Everything changes

– It was a stupid 18-year-old who made that decision, she says.

Since then, she has undergone several breast surgeries, and in 2015 she appeared on the reality show ‘Botched’ to have her breast size reduced.
