Who will be providing comms and punditry as part of the BBC’s coverage of the 2026 Six Nations? Take a look

The BBC will broadcast one Six Nations match per round in 2026, sharing broadcasting rights with ITV and Premier Sports.

Curious about who will be providing analysis and commentary during the BBC’s Six Nations coverage? Here’s a look at the on-air team assembled for the championship.

Television

Gabby Logan will lead live coverage across TV and BBC iPlayer throughout the Six Nations.

Logan will be joined by a stellar lineup of former players, including England’s 2003 World Cup-winning captain Martin Johnson, former Wales captain Sam Warburton, and Ireland wing Tommy Bowe. Wales legend Jonathan Davies, Scotland’s all-time leading points scorer Chris Paterson, and England star Danny Care round out the television punditry and co-commentary team.

Former referee Nigel Owens will also contribute his expertise to the broadcast.

Andrew Cotter will handle TV commentary throughout the tournament, while Sonja McLaughlan and Lee McKenzie will report from the sidelines.

The returning Rugby Special will be hosted by Ugo Monye on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer every Sunday during gameweeks.

Radio

All 15 matches will be covered live on BBC Sounds and across BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra, with commentary led by BBC’s Rugby Union Correspondent Chris Jones.

The radio commentary team includes Matt Dawson, Paul Grayson, Chris Ashton, Johnnie Beattie, Fraser Brown, Philippa Tuttiett, Ken Owens and Donncha O’Callaghan.
