NC State Wolfpack Defeat UNC Greensboro in Men’s Tennis Matchup

The North Carolina State Wolfpack secured a 4-1 victory over the UNC Greensboro Spartans in a men’s tennis match held Monday afternoon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. This win brings the Wolfpack’s record to 3-0, while the Spartans fall to 0-1 to begin their 2026 season.
Wolfpack Dominate Doubles Play
N.C. State quickly established control, winning two of three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. Jules Leroux and Darius Pop defeated Tymofiy Khrystyuk and Hector Nissen on court one with a decisive 6-1 score. Charlie Camus and William Manning further solidified the Wolfpack’s lead, securing the second doubles point against William Elmers and Eric Lindemann also by a score of 6-1.
The third doubles match, featuring Cody Benton and Ainius Sabaliauskas against John Gabelic and Devon Moskowitz, was left unfinished with the Wolfpack leading 3-2.
Singles Competition Sees Mixed Results
The Wolfpack continued their momentum into the singles competition. Camus extended N.C. State’s advantage with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Elmers on court four. However, the Spartans found their first point of the season courtesy of John Gabelic, who triumphed over Sabaliauskas 6-1, 6-3 on court two.
Leroux then bested Khrystyuk in a closely contested match on court one, winning 6-4, 6-3. The decisive point came from William Manning, ranked 85th nationally, who defeated Moskowitz 6-3, 6-1 on court three, sealing the 4-1 victory for the Wolfpack.

The UNC Greensboro Spartans will continue their road trip, traveling to Richmond to face the Spiders on Saturday, January 31st, at 2:00 p.m. at the Westhampton Tennis Complex.
