The dominant performance sends the defending champions into the quarterfinals, while Braunschweig faces elimination. Löwen Braunschweig Struggle in Munich
Braunschweig entered the contest hoping to pull off an upset, but quickly found themselves outmatched by the reigning champions. “Nobody expects us to win, but we believe in it,” Braunschweig’s assistant coach Keith Thomas stated prior to the game.
