/ The Disciplinary Committee of the Iraqi Football Federation decided, on Monday, to deprive a player in the Al-Zawraa youth team from playing until the end of the current season due to his assault on one of the referees, and also issued a penalty against the Electrical Industries Club.

The committee stated in a statement received by Agency, that it discussed the report of the match between Al-Zawraa and Al-Shorta clubs in the Iraqi Youth League, which took place on March 16, and it was found that Al-Zawraa club player Ali Jamil Shanaa, who bears the number 11, spat on the Al-Shorta club player, and it was reported that A red card was given to his face, but he attacked the match referee and beat him.

The committee stated that it decided to consider the Al-Zawraa Club youth team a loser with a score of 0-3 against the Al-Shorta Club youth team, and to punish Al-Zawraa player Ali Jamil Shanaa by banning him from playing until the end of the 2023/2024 season.

The committee also discussed the report of the match between the youth clubs of Samarra and the Electrical Industries Club, which took place on March 23 within the first stage of the youth league, where, after the match ended, the assistant coach of the Electrical Industries Youth Club, Abdul Hussein Shangar Shani, entered the field of play, attacked the referee, and uttered immoral words.

The committee punished the assistant coach by not accompanying the Youth Electrical Industries team for three matches.
