Gevorg Ghazaryan, the former midfielder of the Armenian national team, announced his retirement from football a few days ago.

This year, the football player reached an important achievement in his career, crossing the 500 matches mark. During the 30-year history of independent Armenian football, only 11 players managed to record such a figure.
Ghazaryan is a six-time champion of Armenia, a two-time cup winner and a two-time super cup winner.
Gevorg Ghazaryan performed abroad for 10 years. Participating in 8 foreign clubs from 5 countries: Ukraine (“Metalurg” Donetsk), Kazakhstan (“Shakhtar” Karaganda), Greece (“Olympiakos”, “Kerkyra”, “Lamia”), Portugal (“Maritimu”, “Shavish”) and Cyprus (AEL) championships.
During his football career, Ghazaryan played 524 games in official competitions, scored 103 goals, of which he played 75 games for the Armenian national team, scoring 14 goals.
