Give visibility to the science behind everyday actions and images and encourage critical thinking in the face of hoaxes. These are the two main objectives of the “Con-cejos con-ciencia, con-carteles” campaign, launched by the University of Oviedo with the collaboration of the Ministry of Science, and which will reach 53 municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants. . Specifically, 26 posters with two different concepts have been distributed. The first of them seeks to show hidden science in everyday images. A cow, the Formula 1, or the pouring of a culete of cider hide physical, chemical or biological processes that go unnoticed. The second block of posters seeks to dismantle pseudoscientific hoaxes or put an end to certain myths.
