Bekal: (KasargodVartha) German tourists traveling the world in caravans were mesmerized by the beauty of Bekal. Karsten, a German, started his world journey with his wife Hei in a 1999 registration Mercedes Actors caravan. They reached India after visiting countries like Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on their second trip which started in August 2021.
His wife Karsten returned to Germany three weeks ago because her father was unwell. Timur, his wife Ani, his children Lia and Sia, who are Germans, came to India through Vagabond after visiting Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan and traveled around the world in another Ford car.
Later they started traveling together in two caravans. They had come to Mangalore from Goa and were invited to Bekal by Suresh of Bekal Red Moon Beach Park. They who came to Bekal after accepting the invitation were provided with facilities to park their caravan and have fun at the Red Moon Beach Park. She commented that Bekal is very beautiful and people behave with love. She added that the culture and delicious food of the people of Kerala is an unforgettable experience.
Red Moon Park authorities came to the aid of the caravan travelers when there was no certainty that the caravan park would become a reality even though the government had allotted an acre of land from BRDC’s Bekal Beach Park to KTDC. Baikal Tourism Fraternity Chairman Saifuddin Kalanad came to receive them.
Thanking the Red Moon Beach Park authorities for their warm hospitality, they are praising the goodness of this country. If they stop somewhere on the journey, their food and sleep will be in the caravan. While Carsten’s caravan has modern facilities like bio toilet, Teemur and his family travel in a small caravan prepared in a car.
