About 20 protesters who pitched tents outside the chancellor’s office in Berlin support the Palestinians and demand an end to the war in the Gaza Strip. Israel launched a war against the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip after the terrorists carried out a massacre in Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages.

About 150 police arrived at the protestors’ camp this morning and demanded they leave. Police said the camp was off-limits.

The protesters pitched their tents about two weeks ago, and the police had already warned them that setting up such a camp was prohibited. The police said that the demolition of the camp began peacefully.

The Berlin police based their decision to ban the camp on the fact that the camp participants have repeatedly violated the law, including inciting hatred. In addition, regulations on the protection of green areas and individual buildings were not followed.
