Betis keeps the hope of playing in the Champions League alive after defeating Rayo Vallecano yesterday at the Benito Villamarín 3-1. Seven points separate the Andalusians from Real -they have goal scoring in their favour- with four games to play and although it seems very difficult, in Seville they still dream of reaching that fourth place.

Yesterday was not an easy match and Pellegrini’s team overcame it with suffering. Sabaly, with a great goal, opened the scoring after five minutes and after Isi Palazón smashed two balls into the posts -in the second half Rayo would send another ball to the crossbar-, Ayoze Pérez made it 2-0.

At the restart, Comesaña closed the gap and Borja Iglesias sentenced a pass from Joaquín in the 96th minute, who also maintains the hope of equaling Zubizarreta as the player with the most games played in LaLiga before retiring.
