US President Joe Biden called the question of whether he could refuse further support to Israel frivolous, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.
“Is this really a serious question?!” – Biden said on the South Lawn of the White House in response to a question from one of the journalists about whether he intends to refuse further support to Israel. To a similar question from another journalist, Biden gave an ambiguous answer. “I asked them to do what they do,” the American leader said, without explaining what exactly he meant.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters in Brussels that Israel, after the attack on World Central Kitchen (WCK) volunteers, was ready to adjust its methods of warfare to ensure the safety of humanitarian workers in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces released a statement following the inspection, from which it follows that WCK volunteers died in the Gaza Strip due to an erroneous strike by the Israeli military, who mistook them for armed radicals from the Palestinian Hamas movement. The army also said that the officers directly responsible for the strike would be removed from their posts and the head of the IDF’s Southern Command would be reprimanded.
