Volodin considered the attacks on Yemen an attempt by Biden to maintain his power.
“US President Joe Biden has decided to attack Yemen based on his political interests and with the aim of distracting voters from Ukraine’s failures and America’s internal problems,” he wrote.
According to Volodin, Biden “needs a small, victorious war” in order to make a convincing impression on the electorate and to cover up his failures recorded until then, including in the domestic life of the United States. Biden’s rating has significantly decreased in the USA, he is supported by only 38.9 percent of Americans, and if the elections were held today, Biden would lose. Therefore, in order to divert attention from internal problems, he also launched an attack on the sovereign state, Yemen, without informing the Congress about it, violating the norms of international law and the UN Charter.
“The Biden administration did not inform the US Congress about the attack on Yemen. This confirms that this action stems from the political interests of the current US president. Now even Biden’s supporters believe that he has violated the constitution,” Volodin emphasized.
“If the United States is a legal state, then Biden should be held criminally liable, unless, clinging to power with his last efforts, he unleashes a new world war,” added the speaker of the Russian State Duma.
