The incident took place in 2023 in a flat on Devali Road. The young woman was invited to her friend’s flat. A friend had given food and a cold drink to the young woman who reached the flat. The woman alleged that alcohol was mixed in the cold drink. The young woman has complained to the police that her friend was torturing the young woman who became unconscious after drinking the drink.
A case has been registered at the Tigri police station under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. No one has been arrested yet. “The police are investigating,” said a senior police official.
