Buxar: Bihar is in the grip of extreme heat. The highest temperature of this season so far was recorded in Bihar on Friday. The entire Bihar from north to south has become a heat island due to the scorching heat. Apart from the scorching heat, severe heat wave has also been recorded in some areas. The temperature in the state has reached around 44 degrees Celsius. The intensity of the western winds can be gauged from the fact that the average maximum temperature in the state was measured to be four to seven and a half degrees Celsius more than normal.
Sheikhpura has the highest temperature in Bihar
The highest temperature in Bihar was recorded at Sheikhpura at 43.9 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, 43.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Aurangabad, 43.5 degrees Celsius in Gopalganj and 43.1 degrees Celsius in Gaya, Khagaria and Nawada. Banka recorded 42.7 degrees Celsius, while Rohtas, Bhojpur and Jamui recorded 42.6 degrees Celsius, Nalanda 42.2 degrees Celsius and Patna 42.1 degrees Celsius. Except Kishanganj and Araria, the maximum temperature in other districts was recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. Dangerous heat wave prevailed in Bhagalpur and East Champaran.
Orange alert issued
IMD has also issued an orange alert of heat wave on April 27. Orange alert has been issued specifically for North Bihar. Similar situation is expected in south-central and south-west Bihar. Due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of storm and rain in some areas of the state. Especially in East Champaran of North-West Bihar, Rohtas and Bhabua of South-West Bihar, there is a possibility of light rain at one or two places.
IMD estimates that due to the influence of western disturbance, there will be heavy rain in the western Himalayan region and its surrounding areas from Saturday. It may also affect the weather of Bihar to some extent. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of change in the weather on Saturday. The sky will be cloudy, there may be thunderstorm and rain with strong wind.
