Playing DJ and⁣ loudspeakers ⁢in many districts of Bihar comes with a hefty dose of danger. Engaging in such activities can land people in jail, as the government believes these devices are detrimental to health. Creating and amplifying excessively loud sounds is strictly prohibited, as it can lead to punishment. ‍Such behavior is also costly if done at festivals or weddings.

To combat noise pollution, the state government ⁢has provided noise pollution measuring machines to‌ the Jamui Municipal⁤ Council,‌ Jhajja Municipal Council, and Sikandra Municipal Panchayat. Additionally, the police force has been equipped to tackle the issue.

If anyone plays ⁢DJ in public, be it for weddings or other events, and their music or songs disturb others through loudspeakers or sound boxes, they can face imprisonment for six ⁣months and a fine of Rs 1 lakh⁢ under the ⁢Noise Pollution Control Act.

Sounds between 45 and 65 decibels pose no ‍harm. However, anything above 65 decibels can cause deafness,⁣ anxiety, increased‍ heart ⁤rate, and elevated blood⁤ pressure. The horn of a vehicle emits a ‍sound between 90 and 100⁣ decibels, while a bullet’s crack can range from 160 to 220 decibels, and‍ a firecracker’s sound can be between 130 ‍and 150 decibels.
