Playing DJ and loudspeakers in many districts of Bihar comes with a hefty dose of danger. Engaging in such activities can land people in jail, as the government believes these devices are detrimental to health. Creating and amplifying excessively loud sounds is strictly prohibited, as it can lead to punishment. Such behavior is also costly if done at festivals or weddings.

If anyone plays DJ in public, be it for weddings or other events, and their music or songs disturb others through loudspeakers or sound boxes, they can face imprisonment for six months and a fine of Rs 1 lakh under the Noise Pollution Control Act.
