BLACKPINK x Disney Collection: Shop the New Punk-Inspired Capsule

The K-pop sensation BLACKPINK is expanding its reach beyond music with a latest limited-edition capsule collection, launching Thursday, March 5. The collaboration, a partnership between Disney and Complex, offers fans a chance to express their love for the group through apparel and accessories inspired by a rebellious, punk aesthetic. The collection is available starting at 12 noon ET on Complex.com.

The capsule arrives just a week after BLACKPINK released their five-track EP, DEADLINE, marking their first major musical offering since topping the Billboard 200 chart in 2022 with Born Pink. This latest venture demonstrates the group’s continued influence across multiple facets of pop culture, building on a dedicated fanbase that has propelled them to global stardom.

Designed by Disney’s Global Creative Director Bobby Kim, the collection reimagines iconic Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse through a “rebellious lens,” drawing inspiration from the 1970s London punk scene. The resulting designs are translated into streetwear silhouettes, featuring white, pink, and charcoal color palettes. Each purchase includes an exclusive photocard of one of the four BLACKPINK members: JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, or LISA.

A Punk-Inspired Take on Disney Classics

Kim described the collection as being “all about expressing your individuality and challenging the status quo with confidence.” He further emphasized BLACKPINK’s role in bringing the vision to life, stating, “As a global pop-culture phenomenon, BLACKPINK’s fearless creativity and boundary-breaking style are at the heart of this capsule, making them the ideal creative force to kick off a high-impact series of collections with Complex.”

The range of items in the BLACKPINK x Disney capsule includes tees, sweatshirts, crop tops, tank tops, a tote bag, and a fitted hat. Prices range from $45 for the Disney X BLACKPINK Minnie hat to $125 for the Disney X BLACKPINK plaid jacket, according to Billboard.

Balancing Solo Pursuits and Group Dynamics

The release of this capsule follows a period of individual exploration for the BLACKPINK members. Last year, the quartet embarked on a large-scale stadium tour after dedicating time to solo projects. Despite their individual successes, the members have openly expressed a desire to return to collaborative work.

JENNIE shared her sentiments with Billboard in January 2025, stating, “I’ve missed doing tours with them. I miss our silly moments.” She added, “Everyone took their own journey [during] this time, and I’m excited to share that with the girls. I want to say it’s going to be the most powerful [versions] of ourselves that anyone has seen.”

DEADLINE and Continued Momentum

The launch of the Disney capsule coincides with the continued success of DEADLINE. The EP was previewed in July with the Diplo-assisted single “JUMP,” which reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. Even as “JUMP” blended Korean and English lyrics, the remaining four tracks on DEADLINE are entirely in English. The music video for “Go,” released earlier this week, further amplifies the EP’s reach.

The BLACKPINK x Disney capsule collection represents a strategic expansion of the group’s brand, tapping into the enduring appeal of Disney while catering to their dedicated fanbase. As BLACKPINK continues to navigate individual pursuits and group projects, this collaboration underscores their ability to remain relevant and innovative within the ever-evolving landscape of global entertainment.

Fans can explore and purchase the BLACKPINK Capsule here. The group is expected to continue promoting DEADLINE with further performances and content releases in the coming months.
