Ludhiana: Two people were killed in a blast at a court complex in Ludhiana, Punjab. Several people were injured. The condition of four people is critical. The bomber struck shortly after noon in a third-floor bathroom. The walls of the toilet and the windows of the adjoining rooms were shattered. The district court was functioning at the time of the blast.

Police evacuated the building following the blast. The forensic team is conducting an investigation. Two unexploded bombs were found inside the court complex. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said the site of the blast was under police control and an investigation was underway.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said the blast was an attempt to disrupt peace in Punjab. Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has demanded a detailed probe into the incident.
