In August, Bloomberg, citing data from the consulting firm Jato Dynamics, wrote that the BMW concern for the first time overtook the American manufacturer Tesla in sales of electric vehicles in Europe. According to estimates for July 2024, sales of German electric cars increased by about a third to 14,869 units. At the same time, the company’s American sales fell 16% to 14,561 units. The agency noted that this is the first time that a European concern has surpassed Tesla in sales.
