The party said that BNP is not involved in any way in the initiative of making a film based on the biography of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
On Wednesday (21 August) night, BNP’s media cell convenor Professor Maudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel signed a notice saying that the attention of the Zia family has been drawn to several news published in the media about Khaleda Zia’s biographical film production initiative.
It has also been claimed that the Zia family has consented to these film production initiatives.
In view of these unsolicited news, the Zia family protested in unequivocal terms and said that they are not involved in any way with the content of these news.
It is mentioned in the notification, in this transitional period of the country, these purposeful and misleading news and initiatives are immediately withdrawn with an apology and everyone is called upon to show utmost caution and responsibility in taking any such initiative or publishing news in the future. Otherwise, the decision to take necessary legal action has also been clearly communicated.
